John Couey gets Death Sentence in Florida for the kidnapping, rape and murder of Jessica Lundsford

 James Couey sentenced to death  Jessica was placed in two plastic bags (one over the other) and buried under 12 inches of dirt.  She was alive when buried as evidenced by the tears in the first plastic bag where she tried to dig her way out.  She was smothered by the weight of the dirt on her body.  She was unable to draw breaths.  The Judge called her death “especially heinous”.
