North Carolina High School bans American Flag
Posted by Erebus in Morons In the News, Political, Stupid PoliciesUnder a new school rule, students at Hobbton High School are not allowed to wear items with flags, from any country, including the United States.
Another zero tolerance, zero thought, zero accountability policy. Just a blanket ban that makes very little sense. I am sure that they did this to prevent kid from displaying “gang colors”. I don’t think the American Flag qualifies as “Gang colors” but apparently it is to these people.
Gayle Langston said her daughter, Jessica, was told to remove her Stars and Stripes t-shirt.
And on September 11th of all days. Our forefathers must be rolling in their graves.

You have got to be kidding me. Does the superintendent/school board think they can get away with this? We as AMERICAN CITIZENS have every right to wear PATRIOTIC clothing whenever and wherever we want. Our children have already been banned from SCHOOL PRAYER, and PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE. This is AMERICA, the place that thousands of people have died for to give us FREEDOM, that includes wearing RED, WHITE, AND BLUE our AMERICAN FLAG colors to school if wanted to. This school needs to find another solution to their problem. The AMERICAN PEOPLE NEED TO JUST PUT THEIR FOOT DOWN, AND SAY ENOUGH IS ENOUGH.
This should p-o everyone who wore a uniform in defence of this country enough to bombard the superintendant/school board with e-mail/snail mail, and tell them how much we appreciate they way they have treated “our” flag. As Lee states ENOUGH IS ENOUGH
